How do you face fear when it suddenly shows up at your door?
Fear is real—and it’s aimed at being personal. That’s why God has given us 365 reminders in Scripture to “fear not”—one for every single day. He knew we’d face situations that could shake our peace.
But here’s the truth: fear does not come from God.
2 Timothy 1:7 says:
“God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”
Fear’s mission is to stop you from moving forward in God’s will—holding you back from using your gifts, pursuing your calling, and experiencing His goodness.
The Holy Spirit is your comforter, teacher, and encourager. When fear rises, He will show you how to fight back.
When fear knocks:
PRAY — Turn to Jesus and tell fear to go in His name.
MEDITATE on God’s Word — Speak it out loud and make it personal.
WORSHIP — Thank Jesus for who He is and what He’s done.
TRUST — Rest in His love and power.
1 John 4:18 says:
“Perfect love casts out fear.”
And Joshua 1:9 reminds us:
“Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Reflection
What fear is trying to hold you back today?
How can you choose prayer, worship, and trust instead of worry?
Prayer
Lord,
I thank You that fear does not come from You.
I tell fear to get off my life in Jesus name
Fill me with Your perfect love, Your peace, and Your courage.
Help me to stand strong in faith, knowing You are with me and for me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
